Swami Suddhananda Giri Ji addresses the members of the Nirma University

Nirma University invited Swami Suddhananda Giri Ji, a disciple of Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda to deliver an address on ‘Inner Energy Control Technology for Achieving All Round Success’ for the members of the university on November 11, 2022. The event was graced by the august presence of Dr Karsanbhai K Patel, President- NU, Shri K K Patel, Vice President- NU and Shri G Ramachandran Nair, Executive Registrar- NU.

Addressing the audience, he said we need to strike a balance between four dimensions- Physical, Intellectual, Emotional and Spiritual, to lead a happy life. He further explained the term Success as defined by Yoganandaji- It is what you have attained within that determines success. If you are happy within, you have all success. So success is to be measured by the yardstick of happiness; by your ability to remain in peaceful harmony with cosmic laws.

Swami Suddhananda Giri graduated as an Electrical Engineer from IIT Chennai in 1975. Immediately after that, he joined Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in Mumbai. After serving in BARC for five years as a part of their research team experimenting with Plasma Physics, he felt the inner calling to dedicate his life as a monastic disciple of Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda, the author of the spiritual classic – Autobiography of a Yogi. Yoganandaji founded Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) as a spiritual and charitable society to disseminate the scientific Raja Yoga teachings – the spiritual treasure of ancient India – for the balanced development of body, mind, and soul; as well as to render humanitarian service to the downtrodden and the needy.

Since 1980 Swami Suddhananda has been living in YSS ashrams at Ranchi, Dakshineswar and Noida. He has addressed diverse groups and travelled all over India and abroad giving discourses on the ‘How-to-Live’ teachings of Yoganandaji that bestow all round success and complete fulfilment.
