As a part of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary, a blood donation camp was jointly organized by Nirma University, Kalupur Bank, Rotaract Club of Institute of Management and NSS unit with Indian Red Cross Society on Friday, August 2, 2019 in Nirma University campus. As well as a free eye examination camp was also organized with Eye Care Hospital.
Blood donation camps was held at Block-K as well as near Institute of Science and free examination camp at Kalupur Bank.
In the camp, there was overwhelming turnout of donors. Nirma University students, faculty and staff members donated a total 348 units of blood and a total 166 members were took benefit of free eye checkup.
Donors were provided with fruit drinks, biscuits and snacks in order to re-energize themselves. Kalupur Bank inspired donors by offering gifts as a compliment and Indian Red Cross Society gave certificates.
The Student Welfare Department thanks all the officials of Nirma University, Kalupur Bank, Indian Red Cross Society, Eye Care Hospital, Rotaract Club of Institute of Management, NSS Unit, Estate Department and all the donors & beneficiaries for making this beautiful camp a successful.
